Default Brittany Breeder Recommendation

Hi, I have a friend interested in a Brittany. He recently lost his after 16 years. Any recommendations would be appreciated. He may be interested in a pup or a started dog. We are in Ohio, but willing to travel. Thx

Rick

I purchased my Brittany from a recommendation on this site and couldn't be happier. It's been 10 years now but I'm sure they are still producing top notch hunting dogs at Quail Hollow Kennels. http://quailhollowkennel.com/

Rick,
I would also recommend Ron Harling of of Black Creek Kennels. My last two Britts came from there. They are superior hunting dogs and great family companions.

Is he looking for an American-Brittany or a French-Brittany (Epagneul Breton)? Also, is he looking for a pup or started dog. Over the year's I've had 6-AB's & 3-EBs, all great gundogs.

He’s looking for an American-Brittany. I think he’s trying to decide between pup or started. He isn’t sure he wants to deal with the puppy months…

In that case, I'd call Steve Del Rossi at Quail Hollow Kennel. I met him maybe 25 yrs. ago or more. A friend & hunting buddy had 2 of his Brittany's, at different times. Both were great hunters and house dogs!

Quail Hollow. Great dogs. I am on my fourth. Great hunters and even greater pets and members of the family.

Sherwood came from Carey Knowles Boykin and Brittanies in McCrae, Georgia, but that may be a hike for you. He had a few available last I checked. The boys and I want another but keep getting out voted by Julia

I'm pretty sure My brother who lives in southern Ohio and is president of the Quail and Grouse chapter in the area got his Brittany somewhere in Ohio from a well recommended Breeder. He is well pleased with his dog and would gladly talk with you about the breeder if your interested. Let me know and I will PM you his phone number.
