Default West Michigan Shoot

Dear All,

The 3rd Annual West Coast SxS Fun Shoot will be Saturday June 26th and is
quickly approaching. It will again be sponsored by New Era Ammunition,
but there is a change in venue. The last 2 years it has been at Seaway
Gun Club. This year the SxS Fun Shoot will be hosted by Pine Ridge
Sporting Clays in Shelby, Michigan. They just opened their doors and are
eager to put on a first class shoot! They are conveniently located
between Muskegon and Ludington with US 131 only 30 minutes to the east.
You can visit their website at http://pineridgesportingclays.com.

The shoot will consist of 100 targets for $40 with lunch included. Pine
Ridge is going to set up a special 30 bird 5 stand course and 70 bird
sporting clays course which will be SxS friendly with hunting type
situation targets. New Era Ammunition will again provide shotgun shells
for door prize drawings. You can visit their website at
www.neweraammunition.com. Please RSVP by Monday June 14th to ensure we
will have enough food for lunch and these special targets will be set. To
RSVP you can email me at brian@neweraammunition.com or call (231)
301-1094.

Please pass this email on to anyone you think may be interested in this
fun event. I am looking forward to seeing you at the shoot and enjoying
the camaraderie which comes along with getting SxS shooters together!

Most sincerely,
Brian Erickson

Jeff,
It was nice meeting you and shooting with you. I trust there were no legal issues on the way home? It pourd rain here all day Sunday and traveling would not have been fun.

Mark I didn't see you there...did you get lost???

Rich,
It was nice meeting you and Dave at the shoot. I enjoyed it and will try to get up for the shoot on July 17. And yes it was uneventful as far as county sheriffs are concerned.

Jeff,

Enjoyed meeting you and shooting with you. We need to do it again sometime.
Mark and Paul, you guys missed a good shoot. Must have been to foggy to drive on the east side of the state? There where a couple guys at the shoot looking to buy some field grade LC's. Your Big Friend Ten would've done well on this course. Food was good and the beer was cold afterwords.

I am sorry that I could not make this shoot. The reasons were many...

Default Too soon after Da Yooper for me-

Sounds like a great event indeed, thanks Dave for mentioning it. As I missed Father's and GrandFather's Day with the family we had our celebration on Sat. 26th and I couldn't get away- Brats and burgers on the grill and some good cold Leinie's-and I live in mI, not WI- but close. My youngest daughter informed us all that she will be a Mama again (Feb 2011) so little Kathrine May O'Scanlon will be having a wee sister or brother then- Great news-- I don't wait for the sonar report from the OB-GUY'n-- my ten spot says another girl- and maybe like her Mother Kristine, will be born on St. Valentine's Day--we shall see

Mark, I'll see you at the Shoot at Lapeer on the 17th. Wish I knew who the prospects for the Elsie's were, as you had some swell ones for sale at Da Yooper-

As far as the Sheriff patrols extant-- if I am gonna be pulled over I prefer a Statie in a blue cruiser to a Black and White oreo cruiser- As Anthony Hopkins said so wisely in the movie "Legends Of The Fall"-- "That's a political office you hold there, isn't it, Sheriff?""

Perception is 90% of presumed reality- Blue for our Staties is a neutral color- but the Brown and Tan of our SD's in all of Michigan's 83 wonderful counties- I have no idea why MI picked those colors for the Sheriff deputies- I haven't had a ticket in 25 years, but whenever I see one of their cruisers I automatically let up on the gas pedal--
