Default New from MI/VA

Hello everyone,

New addition here, originally from Michigan where I have spent a lot of time chasing Grouse/Woodcock, but have recently relocated to Northern VA for work. I've loved being apart of the forum so far and greatly appreciate the knowledge base and the kindness/willingness to help out that everyone here displays, it is a great community. I am a young guy (24) who has been bitten by the vintage double bug, and have a few other models, but have not yet acquired my first Parker. I am hoping to change that in the near future. Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for the great community!

Tyler, welcome to the forum. You have years ahead to find yourself some (many!?) Parkers. Keep at it…one will come your way.

Welcome. Great to see a younger person getting the bug. Not to be morbid, but a lot of boomers are within sight of the finish line. Some great guns will be coming to the market over the next couple of decades.

I lived in Alexandria, Virginia, for 30 years. Labor Day weekend 1977, my new bride and I were driving around in the Shenandoah Valley looking for a place to shoot Doves. Stumbled into a great farm and farmer near Mt Jackson and shot there through the 2002 season. after which I retired and move back to the west where I grew up.

Welcome, Tyler, you landed in the right spot. Best of luck with your new job. I too, have a passion for grouse and woodcock hunting, and spend a few weeks/year roaming the wilds of Michigan's UP with my setters and Parker 20 i hand.

I appreciate the warm welcome! Looking forward to exploring Virginia and hopefully finding some birds this fall. It will be an adjustment from the Northwoods of MI for sure. We'll see if I can convince my newlywed wife to follow me and our Irish Setter around a bit!
