Default Parkers and pheasants

Carried the Grade O Parker hammer gun today with its add on set of 28" Twist barrels in 20 ga. The original barrels are 26" 16 ga, but I shoot the longer barrels better. 2 shots, 2 birds today over Willie.
Great season so far, hunted 15 days in the UP averaged shooting 2 1/2 grouse/day, took an 8 pt with the crossbow in WV on Friday, and about a dozen pheasant so far.

That’s a sweet setup Harold! I bet those 20ga barrels were hard to find.

David, I was on my way back from South Dakota last year when good friend Edgar Spencer called me about those barrels. They took very little fitting( Dave Fjeline), and I am very happy with them.

Harold, you seem to be making the most out of retirement(!) Some days I have more things to do than I have time to do them, but hunting always is a priority.

I love that little gun!

Thanks Garry, I was shooting 7/8 oz of straight 7's, reloads, I find it to be quite effective, but would go with a stouter load on wild birds.

Harold, can you give us a rehash on how this gun came to be? Two barrel 16-20 is worth going over again.
