Thats one way to disable an unsafe wall hanger. At least the chambers arent welded up.

with just the tops of the hammers missing- the gun is not inoperable, just hard to cock
the example I posted were broken just a little lower, but similar since they were almost evenly broken and due to other signs- i have always assumed it was dropped or fell over on a hard surface and the spurs, since they protrude, took the force of the fall
