Charlie, thanks for your shout-out. This is a day to be thankful, and we have much to be thankful for. I am especially thankful for veterans who sacrificed to allow us all to be free.
I hope everyone has had a great day so far!

Hello Gary, we live in the heart of Gatlinburg, usually overrun with a few turkeys and bears but did not see a one today.

As a long time vet, I can say we all understand the sacrifice and are proud to go and go again whenever necessary. I have had the pleasure of working with all our agencies and branches and can proudly say we will go anywhere, fight any foe and not fear anyone. We may have internal turmoil at times but never doubt our ability or resolve. I was only one of a few that was called back to active duty after 9/11 and served until I was required to retire and was than called out of retirement to serve three more years which concluded 41 years of service of which 34 were military intelligence. I was just one of the priviledged few who served a long time. We had units go into combat in Iraq and Afghanistan who had son, Father and Grandfather in the same unit go over. Many others would have done the same if they would have had the opportunity. God Bless our great nation, we are proud to be American by the grace of God.
