Default making frame more presentable

Wondering how to make a mostly silver frame more presentable without refinishing it. I don't want to have it recased and take it back a bit but would rather... ? Haven't a clue as to what to do. Any suggestions?

If it lacks original case, and does not have any rust, pitting or patina, there is nothing more presentable that i can think of than silver.

French Gray?

Ink and wipe clean to make the engraving stand out?

I don't like silver receivers much so maybe Dean's suggestion would work. We used to scrub our M-14's in Vietnam to keep rust at bay and after watching the moon light reflecting off of the overly cleaned areas I just can't tolerate bare metal on a firearm.Seriously.Another phobia to add to my list.

I would be interested in how to remove brown stains without leaving any marks.

"Big .45 Frontier Metal Cleaner" is made by the same people who make the Frontier Pads.

Used together they will clean off anything that can be cleaned off.

Does anyone know what kind of "color hardening" was sprayed on the repros? I would do that and lacquer it after wiping some off.
