After many years of entertaining fantasies as I paged thru Julia and Morphy auction catalogs, lo and behold I stumbled across this 12 bore tucked in between a bunch of hammer guns that cost more than my truck. Josh Lowensteiner wrote an accurate (and beguiling) description so I put in a bid.
The gun is a 30 inch damascus, reproofed in Birmingham for 2 3/4 nitro loads. It was redone in London and sold by Holts some years ago. wide ope and lt. modified chokes. Edgar Harrison was with Cogswell and Harrison for 50 years. He was chairman for 42 years. He was president of everything gunmaking in London for a long time. I am quite happy with my purchse. |

That's a beauty, and with a personalized case, who could ask for more?! Very nice work on that case, BTW.
