Ron: It looks like the man took the gun apart and did some sanding on the stock at the wrist and it looks like the case coloring has been redone because I can't believe that would be original but I'm no expert.The barrels go thud when you try to make them ring. It is a 00 grade that has been upgraded. The ser. is 116421. You can send me a PM if you like and we can discuss what I'm going to do with it. the wood seems to be fitted for the gun. I also can post pictures of the other L.C. Smith field grade with 32 inch barrels that is in great shape and it also has upgraded wood that is just roughed out. Thomas
