Manufacture dates are from 1878 to 1903, different materials have different densities and perhaps methods of production evolve. I was surprised that the barrels on the one frame gun wern't heavier.

My 134XXX 16gauge VH has 28" barrels. The unstruck weight is 3-2 and the finished weight is 2-9. The gun weighs 5-14.

Mr. Murphy,
What are those barrel lengths? Frame size for that kinda of 16 ga barrel wt. That sounds like a real shooting iron and a keeper. |
