Hello Roland, and welcome to the PGCA Forum.

May I suggest you join the PGCA as an annual member in order to receive the full benefits of membership.
You will receive the quarterly publication Parker Pages, a 48 page color glossy journal (magazine actually) of the PGCA which always contains several interesting, informative and educational technical articles and stories of Parkers in use for hunting, clays shooting and on exhibition.
You will also enjoy the Members Only section of the forum which includes the buying and selling of Parkers, other fine guns, as well as sporting equipment.

Again, Welcome!

Hi I;m new to the forum. Can any one tell how you determine if a Parker is a repro or original?
I recently purchased a 12ga 30 inch barrel double in nice shape, the serial number
#134097 shows it was made in 1905

The Parker Reproduction by Winchester was made in the 1980's and very early '90's only.

Yours is an original Parker Bros. gun made in Meriden, CT

Please post pictures of yours.

Default real vs. repro

Thanks for the info, I now have an opportunity to buy an older Parker 12ga with 28 inch barrels for cheap. The gun is rough but still shootable, I'll post pics of both as soon as I get the shorter one. Ten day clearance wait in California.

Thanks again,
Jack

P.S. Both guns have Vulcan barrels

I too, just joined the the PGCA Forum. For me it's a jump off the deep end. I grew up in CT, and my dad hunted with a Trojan and a Fox. I do own a few Parker's and look forward to sharing and learning more about the Parker Shotgun.
Best, -B
