Default another 1st

It was youth weekend here in NH for turkey. My number 2 grandson just turned 13 and number 1 grandson just finished his 1st year in collage. Riley has seen his brother hunting turkey and deer and couldn't wait to go him self. He came over fri. afternoon and with some 1st time shooting a shot gun lesson he was ready to try it. The gun will be a 30 in fox 20 ga. with very tight chokes. shooting 1 oz of 6's. sat am called in a nice tom at 25 yds. he shot it and it dropped stone dead. When back out sun, am and we called in 2 jakes and he shot one of them. Makes me very proud to see my grandsons both using SxS to each kill there 1st birds. Its been a while when I last brought number 1 grandson Zach out, so it feel good to get out and watch a young kid hunting.
A very proud grampa !

It's a wonderful thing Scott to see these youngsters out doing what we did when we were their age. I have a picture of Cam with a turkey slung over his back walking back to camp very much like that picture of Riley doing it.

If I remember that Fox 20, it shoots like a rifle!!!!

Well done Scott, I find it better to be with them than to get one yourself. I was not with him but my # 2 grandson took a half cord of oak on his second turkey hunt. First was a good shot and his dad was tickled being the guide.

Way to go Pop-Pop Scott.

My full choke 20 Foxes give the same great patterns with 3/4oz loads.
