Hi Kenny, If Mr. Heald passes on your barrels, I would be very interested in purchasing them for my mod and full 28. Thank You!

My original thought was to steel a set from a combo set and sell them, I never use the 26" set...after rethinking, this is a bad idea...sorry for making that offer. Kenny

Kenny and Chuck, I would like to get a set of open choked barrels for my 28" Mod and Full 28ga. for use in the Grouse woods. Currently, I am using Polywad's in the first (mod) bbl. So, if any of you guys run into a set, 26 or 28 inchers Ok, that you don't want I would appreciate it if you could keep me in mind. Thank You! Tom

Tom, you could probably trade your gun for a 26" gun and a thousand bucks or more. Trying to do something to improve the patterns of a 28 gauge with .039 of choke by using spreader shells is a lost cause. Yes, the Repro 28 gauge full is tighter than tight.

Hi Bill, A great idea; BUT, if you look back to page three of the 'Lets see some wood' thread, you will see the reason I sold my NIB 26", ser #48. I guess I will just try and buy a well worn beater or a two bbl set and pinch the short, open bbls and let the remains go down the road. Lets all remember that Chuck has the first dibs. Opps, the to should be too, and I can't edit the heading, sorry!

Tom, you will have no trouble selling the 28" part of a two barrel set for good money, keeping the 26" barrels.
