Default Finally Got The Chance

Last evening at the club I shoot at a trap shooter showed up with an SBT-C grade. Although I am not a trap shooter I have always admired these guns and wanted the opportunity to shoot one. Well, I got my opportunity and I must say it is quite a piece of machinery. This gun appeared to me unmolested except someone added a wedge of wood to the butt to change the pitch. It was well done though. The engraving was unusually deep for a Parker. And, the barrel wall thickness at the chamber was impressive. Must have been 3/8" thick. A wonderful experience. I'm glad to have had the experience.

The Parker SBT was always one of my dream guns. One day an opportunity presented itself and my dream came true.

I'm with you Mike. I'm not a trap shooter but I'd love to own a Parker SBT someday too. Why not? Another gun is certainly not a bad thing.

I shot my first Parker singles when I was a pre teenager. There were a bunch of them at my gun club and I shamelessly borrowed them on a regular basis. I bought (or traded for) my first Parker single when I was 25 years old and still own it. It is a great example in high condition, with original case and tags. Over the years I have worn some of the case colors from the receiver and replaced the original Silver pad with a new one, but otherwise it is still in quite high condition.

I still have the original tattered Silver pad and some day it may go back on the gun.
