We have produced a 16 minute narrated video of D. M. Lefever and his guns. We hope it entertains and gives a little knowledge about this innovative gunmaker.

Nicely done Dr. Bob, it is very informative of the history and variety of Lefever shotguns. Thans for sharing, you can be very proud of your heritage.

Dr. Bob - Thanks for creating this wonderful history of the Lefever guns. Very well done and very informative'

Do you know and can you tell us who were the chief engravers of these amazing guns?

Lefever, like most of the gun manufacturers used contracting engravers for their high end work. Because of the number of gunmakers in Syracuse there was a plethora of engravers. We have found guns engraved by:
Albert Spangler
Jacob Glahn and his extended family
Joseph Loy
William Aubrey
Leon DeLunsch
Frederick Snyder
Mary Stringer
George Procter
There probably many others especially for the moderately engraved lower grades.

Thanks Bob - several of those names are familiar to me and I suspected a few of them, having examined several high grade Lefevers. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.

Best Regards, Dean
