Default New (to me) Fox CE

Took the new to me Fox CE 12 for a walk with my little Setter Sunny today. Seems to shoot where I’m looking. 1C82CA2F-E0B8-4F71-AF21-23072180A048.jpg

A straight grip to boot. Nice going Dan. Can you share any info on the CE?

Dan it looks like a early style CE straight grip with beautiful wood. Foxes best period in my opinion. I sure would love to see more pictures.

Great little Setter. Lineage? That high tail is a great thing in CRP grass. I've never seen a setter with a high tail on vintage American shotguns.

She's bred for grouse. She's a little pocket rocket and just coming into her own. She ran a 90 minute cover this fall with 14 solid woodcock finds. Several of which required multiple relocations before we could produce the bird. It was beautiful to watch.

Kevin McCormack had the gun for sale on this site and the Fox site a few months ago. It took a circuitous route to me but I am ecstatic to own it. Two barrel set 12 gauge. Original Krupp 28" F/F barrels and later numbered to the gun Chromox 26" IC/Mod barrels. Some remaining case coloring and nice blueing. Looks like this gun has been in the woods a lot and based on the finish wear on the stock, carried by a fellow lefty. I love the look and feel of it.

And whether they be English, Irish, or Gordon…
