Question Ohio buck

This prehistoric looking monster was taken on our sportsman club in Eastern Ohio during bow season. Nontypical early scoring was 221.

Main agriculture in this area is beef and hay
Not much corn or beans in the area. But area has always produced big deer.
Don't know if it was aged, I imagine it was/will be

I'd guess 5-7 years without seeing it's front and rear quarters in profile. Genetics is the major factor in antler size but nutrition plays a role also.

That’s exactly what I was thinking Daryl. Old enough to have that mass and from what we can see, not beyond its prime. Magnificent animal at any rate.

That’s why we keep jaw bones. You can age the deer by tooth wear.

This buck is a dream come true. I have wished upon a star many times but that star never answered
Congratulations to that eastern Ohio bow hunter! A buck of a lifetime

Is the hair on the legs typical for Ohio, Harold? It sure looks longer than it does on big deer here in GA. May just be due to the climate.
