does it shoot the 3 inch shell.. i have a little 410 hammer gun similar to yours but its got the 2 1/2 inch chambers..i should said my grand daughters i gave it to her..i think hers is an american arms gun very petite gun 18 inch factory barrels looks like a small kids toy gun.... charlie

Charlie: I bet your American and my Acme doubles are built by the same maker. You could get quite afew names on guns in those days.It is also 2 1/2 inch shells.I don't see very many at gun shows so I think they are scarse little guns although the quality isn't that great they sure are cool. Thomas

I had a chance to buy one several years ago but it was pretty rough so I passed. That's the only one I've ever touched, they are rare for certain. I've always wondered if they were really .410 guns or if they were actually made to take the metal .44 XL shot cartridge.

The H&D Folsom agent in Belgium, at least through 1914, was Louis Muller of Liege. Muller may have actually been in the employ of Folsom as he registered the Crescent trade marks in Belgium. He was also a gun maker and registered twelve trademarks 1889 to 1894 including: Acme, Club, Climax, Star, Rival, Standard, Meteor, and I.X.L.
