Tim,

Someone spent a lot of money having the gun restocked and completely refinished. While not original it is a very nice gun. I would get a competent gunsmith to time the roll joint screw correctly. It should parallel the barrels. It is a shame to do that much work and leave the screw like that.

It was done to the owner's taste and wallet: beavertail forend, checkered butt, DH style teardrop on the stock head, and he was OK with cyanide case colors.
