Of the Repros that I have seen all have had the gauge prefix and I couldn't hazard a guess as to why yours doesn't..

Hi Kelly, The reason your 20 guage did not have a prefix number on the trigger guard is that is one of the first batch of guns we made. The first order we had the folks at the Winchester factory didn't put the guage number on it. Hope that helps . I am looking for member Kevin Mc Cormick to contact me to fix a leather case Thanks
