here is a treat for our southern members -
there is a local living history museum which my wife and I support. the museum was founded by John Wehle and family - spell it backwards and
think Elhew pointers- raised by John's brother. - one of the wonders at the museum is the art gallery
https://www.gcv.org/explore/gallery/
this past year they put together a display entitled "Working Like a Dog" highlighting mostly sporting but some other working dogs (the dog tread mill powered butter churn would have made Rube Goldberg proud)
our monthly news email just arrived and this announcement caught my eye.
"Working Like a Dog Exhibit Heads South
Our popular Working Like a Dog exhibit is hitting the road and heading to Pebble Hill Plantation for the winter. Our President and CEO, Becky Wehle, and Gallery Curator Patricia Tice will be heading down to Georgia for the the Member preview and grand opening on November 1st and 2nd. The exhibit pieces will be on display until spring, when they will make the trip home in time for our Opening Day."
