Default TSS #7.5 2oz in 1905 Parker VH 12GA w/Vulcan barrel

I have a Vulcan Barrel on my 1905 VH and would like to take it Turkey Hunting.
Is it safe to shoot Apex TSS 7.5 2oz loads?
Thanks

In a 2 3/4 inch gun you don't need but one ounce of TSS for turkeys (#9s). There are so many pellets in that smaller shot why two ounces? That would work in a pump or auto loader. If you shoot one ounce at fifty yards it will kill any turkey you shoot at and have it on target. The 9s have the same energy at 72 yards 5s at forty yards due to density and lack of velocity loss due to the small size and less resistance. You may even go to 1 1/8 ounce. Here are one ounce loads in number 9. Ten for $50. Number 9s are so small and the wads are thick so my opinion is there will be no contact or damage to the barrels. 360 pellets at 1300 fps.

Im with Jerry and Charlie. I have shot Federal 1 3/4 oz TTS in my M1 Benelli 12. Those were 3” shells. They hit hard on both ends.
I sure would not use them in my vintage Parker. I think it would cause a lot of stress to the wood.

Thanks for the advice! I certainly was concerned about the barrels and wood!
