Nice. I am a veteran of fishing lead line in lake Winnipesauke here in central NH where I live. We call it the "big lake" because this area is called the Lakes Region with 6 major lakes in it. Most fish downriggers but I still like lead line. You may already know this but spray your lure with WD40. It drives the fish crazy and you will get more strikes.

I honestly have never ate a Laker, how are they on the table? I did make the trip to Rock Mountain with a cooler full of deep fried bluegill behind my seat. I ate them all the way there as a snack and I believe I ate them most everyday that I was there as well. I believe some others actually indulged themselves as well, I never heard any complaints.

Well Randy, we do not fish for Bluegill here. We do have them but we call them Sunfish and throw them back when we catch one Lakers are just Ok. You need to remove an oil sack on the back just behind the dorsal fin and bake them in milk. Really not my favorite. I like small brook trout pan fried in bacon grease and rolled in flour. I am not a big fan of catch and release If you like the fish. Those trout you release will just become food for the next otter or mink that swims down the brook. There are plenty of them so enjoy
