Default They were made by imperfect humans.

Here is another example of some serial number oddities that we see from time to time that is simply a reminder that the guns were made by men in less than ideal conditions by todays standards.

This is a Remington Era VHE 20g Skeet gun. Number 240684. Note on yhe back of the trigger guard it was stamped 240”0”84 and the “0” was overstamped with a 6. And the engraving is the same way. A 6 engraved over the 0.

20g 2bbl set one btfe, one splinter. Round knob pistol grip with an ssbp. An odd feature on a V grade, but it is completely original. Yes, single trigger.

That's so blasphemous, I think it should be shipped to me at once, to be properly punished!

Default They Were Made By Imperfect Humans!

Well This explains Why I have seen Some Parker's with mismatched Serial #'s.
Mainly the fore-end iron doesn't match the frame #. ALSO about 35 to 45%
of Parker's Have Repair codes, some have many. Well, Imperfect Human Hands
were, are, the Culprits behind this!
