Default Double Trouble (for the Geese)

Scott Kittredge and I doubled up together on a flock of lesser Canada's. His vent rib 12ga VH 30" and my DelGrego 3 frame 32" VH fired four shots this morning and produced 4 dead in the air. Here's a pic of my two, he's on his way home now.

Good work, nice to see them doing what they were intended for.

Shows how little I know about Canadas (and waterfowl in general), I didn't know we had the "Lesser" here on the Atlantic flyway.

Yes every now and then but they are fairly rare. I saw a snow goose this morning with a flock of canadas, snows are rare around here too. About ten years ago Scott and I took a now retired gunsmith friend goose hunting. The gunsmith shot a Lesser. Scott and I shot some standards. Anyway I had brought a video camera and when I was taking some video the gunsmith holds up his bird for the camera and states "it's a Lesser". Scott then picks up a 12 pounder and proclaims "this one is a More'er"

So, it wasn't my imagination; they are lessers. That's all we get up here in Alaska. Feel free to send some "Moreres" our way, eh?
