Default Heading to the UP

So Lou Rotelli and I will be heading to the UP in a few weeks. Probably hunting 5 days. Staying with a friend who is a year round resident in the area just north of Richie Anderson. Hope to see that old curmudgeon too while we're there. All reports are very positive on the birds numbers. All we need is the weather to cooperate. I will definitely be taking one of my Parker 16g guns and maybe even one of the 20s. Our smallest Setter "Callie" will be accompanying us. Looking forward to a great trip. Photos to follow.

Mike, you will have a good trip. I have been hunting that area every year since 1986, usually for 2 weeks. There is of course a learning curve as the covers and terrain much different from those beautiful Pa. mtns. I stay just a few miles from COB and generally stop in to see him . I am leaving Thurs Oct 20th and coming back Sat Nov 3rd. It is 800 miles for me. We lost the cabin we have stayed in for years, Ernie and Steve Cobb would stay in that one also before I got there, but got a call while at Hausman's in June that they sold the cabin, so will be a little new for me this year. I'm already like a kid before Christmas getting ready for the trip. Has Lou ever hunted there before? You can give me a call if you want and I can point you into some good areas( its all good up there.)
