Default Winchester Model 12 28 gauge skeet

Had a Model 12 28 gauge skeet come in the shop for some work it’s roll stamped 2 7/8” chambers was that usual or something unusual ?

The guy that brought the 28 in also brought a 20 gauge skeet that had been restocked and reblued . Gun feels great and I thought the wood on the gun was rather sporty !

Craig, very nice. Thanks for posting. I hope neither M12 doesn't have a "gas pipe" looking device on its muzzle?

my Model 12 28ga Skeet is marked 2 7/8 in.

You mean a doggie dick or in more correct terms a Cutts ?

No they don't .

The vent rib on the 20 however is a Simmons .

My 28 gauge M12 repro is 178 miles away at my cabin. Will have to check the chamber when I get back up

You will find that your Repro has 2 3/4" chambers, as do later real Model 12 28 gauge guns. I wish I were closer to Craig's 28 gauge. I might give up my "No more pump guns" promise. What's the price, Craig?

Right. More conservative term hereabouts was gas pipe, and the sensational term was donkey dxxk.
