James - you really need to find a way to carry the book with you, you seem to find Parkers every where you go.
just kidding of course, one of us is always glad to look it up and see what treasure you found.

Sophomoric question - Where can I go to decode descriptions like "D3 H 0 C 12 30" I assume this is a 30" 12 gauge, but beyond that....

you decode them in the book - not a bad question at all - I had the same question first time I asked for a look up, and before I bought the book.
grade & barrel material-- action --extras -- stock confirmation - gauge -- barrel length so in this case - a grade 3 gun with damascus barrels hammerless no extras ( such as ejectors) capped pistol grip stock 12 gauge 30" barrels

If I could find the SN book at a good price, I'd scan it to a PDF so I wouldn't have to lug the thing around at shows...
