Downloaded this several years ago from the 16 gauge society page. I hope it is helpful.

Longshot is a great powder for 16g.

On the Longshot data it says SG 16. BPI has that but it says 3/4 oz. Do they make a 7/8 wad or does it take 7/8? And they also have an SG 16 S (short): Should I get that or will the regular SG 16 work? I’m used to reloading 12 ga with clay busters so this is all new to me.

The sg16 is fine for both 3/4 and 7/8. The shot for 7/8 fills the cup and goes a bit higher.
The sg16 short has a different base which allows it to sit lower in the powder charge. Like you I wasnt sure, I bought one bag of each but have only infrequently found use for the short wads.

Thanks. Sounds like the short wad may effect pressure too.

The SG16S works very well in the 2 1/2" hulls.
