Default This Just In...

A 1936 Field Trial at Ames Plantation. I see Nash Buckingham and Hobart Ames among the judges a-horseback.

You can expand the image - keep trying. I also find that you can pull it back to the beginning.

I believe in the first pic the man in the rear might be Nash and Hobart Ames in the second pic. What do you all think?

Dean, I think you are spot-on with your identification.

I loved seeing this. My father purchased a CHE 16 gauge with straight stock and SS butt from Mr Ireland who was an avid fox and quail hunter. The CHE's checkering was almost completely worn off from being in the scabbard.

Remember back in the late 50's and early 60's, reading the day by day reports of the braces of dogs.weather, unproductive finds and finds as the event unfolded. It was reported each day in the Memphis newspaper and I could not wait read of the dogs and birds. I am still a fool for flushing birds and dogs.
