In the September 1897, Charles J. Godfrey catalogue, the basic Winchester Model 1897 sold for $16.88. The "Trap" Gun was $31.73 and the "Pigeon" Gun was $67.50. A Good (3 blade) Damascus barrel in place of the standard rolled steel barrel was $10.13 and a Fine (4 blade) Damascus barrel in place of the standard rolled steel barrel was $13.50.

Researcher, were those 3 and 4 blade Damascus barrel prices a 'premium' or were they the price of the entire gun?
