I will share with the readers here a recent correspondence between our PGCA President Mr. Bill Mullins and LCSCA Executive Director Mr. Frank Finch. There thoughts concerning the goodwill, fellowship and friendly competitive atmosphere describe this event perfectly and helps one understand how this event has managed to not only exist but grow in popularity for these past eleven years.
Hello Frank;
On behalf of the PGCA Directors, Staff, and Team Parker, I want to congratulate you, LCSCA and Team LC Smith again for your 2014 victory at the Southern SxS Team Challenge at Deep River Shooting grounds. It was a very close competition as in 2013 which always adds to the suspense and fun in which this event was conceived eleven years ago.
The competition itself just continues to grow each year and both LC Smith and Parker Collecting Organizations, not to mention the guns themselves, are the real beneficiaries!
Team Parker will be honing in on their shooting skills and hopefully will make the Challenge even more exciting next year!
The best to you and LCSCA for the remainder of 2014.
Sincerely,
Bill Mullins
President, PGCA
Good Afternoon Bill,
On behalf of the LCSCA and Team LC, thank you for your congratulations and I extend my sincere appreciation to Team Parker on their fine shooting in both the Challenge Cup and the Hammer Gun Challenge.
I have heard only high praise from shooters and spectators alike regarding this prestigious event. It is only with the cooperation of fine gentlemen such as yourself and and all respective members of both organizations that the 2014 LC Smith vs. Parker Challenge continues to be such a tremendous success. I sincerely hope the Challenge Cup and Hammer Gun Challenge continue to accomplish our intended goals of focusing attention on the collectability and use of our fine American- made double guns, promoting a spirit of goodwill and fellowship in a friendly competitive atmosphere among our collective clubs, and providing a framework to contribute to a charitable cause that promotes the continued future of our fine sport..
The LCSCA is already looking forward to 2015 when we will once again experience this wonderful spirit of gentlemanly camaraderie.
All the best to you and members of PGCA,
Frank Finch
Executive Director, LCSCA
