Default Rasawek Quail

Having filleted and sautéed Rasawek Quail breasts along with something I picked up from a local resteraunt . They make what they call a southwestern seared rockfish (striper) , the fish is seared and then topped with a concoction that to melt looks like fiesta corn black beans and cream of potato soup . Anyway I like my version of the concoction so I’m having it with the quail tonight ! Also I think since I upgraded the software in my phone it’s keeping my pictures straight again fingers crossed !

Is the “Rasawek” reference to the hunt club in Virginia?

It’s the preserve the birds were shot on . It’s kinda around Mankin Sabot right outside Richmond heading west on I-64 . Think we went two or three times last season .

That’s awesome. I’m very familiar with Rasawek. I help organize a get together there every year in honor of Doug Deats and to raise some money for Polestar. Doug was the driving force behind the establishment of Rasawek and sadly passed away. He was an incredible man. Rasawek is a very special place for me and many others.
