Default Parker of the Month - October Contest

All who are registered to the Parker Forums are encouraged to participate in the "Parker of the Month" contest! Until October 25th, please post your pictures in this thread (and only this thread!). I will close this thread on or about October 25th - and post a new POLL so folks can vote on their favorite "Parker of the Month". At the end of the poll - the winning picture will be shown here:

http://parkerguns.org and be reserved for the month of November Calendar.

This month's Sponsor & Prizes: To the winning photographer/picture, Kittery Trading Post will donate a shotgun bore snake (in any gauge) and a set of chrome snap caps or a $50 Kittery Trading Post Gift Certificate.

The Ground rules are simple.....

Please post up to FIVE of YOUR (sorry - they MUST BE YOUR PHOTOS!) pictures in this thread.

We encourage you to enter even if you only have one photo that you like, as folks will be looking for "that Parker Quailty" that defines "Why we do this", so that one photo could be a winning photo. Those my be of a Parker, hunting scene with a Parker, still-life or even an action shot.

Members may comment on the photo entries in the photo contest thread and leave nice comments about other images in the thread if you feel the urge to do so. BUT - please do not post any photos in this thread that are not intended to be entries. Pictures NOT posted as entries will be deleted from the thread.....

Editing rule: Altered Images—Photographs manipulated for artistic purposes by applying digital and/or traditional special effects (i.e. hand coloring, toning, bleaching, collage and photo composites, etc.) are accepted. In short - "show us what you got" - BUT - the Parker Shotgun must remain "as is" (sorry, you can't make your Trojan an "A-1" with photoshop, if you know what I mean )

Occasionally, some member(s) or organization(s) may donate prizes for the monthly contest. These will be announced in the appropriate month's thread (as above). If you know a business that would like to participate - please have them contact me directly.

All votes and prize winners will be final - SO WAIT UNTIL THE VOTING THREAD to "express your opinion "I'll vote for that" ""

By entering, participants grant permission for their winning photos to be used as an main photo on the PGCA Website, Calendar (with attribution - of course) and maybe other areas of the PGCA site....

Good luck and let's have some fun with this..!

That is all...

AHHH _ SHOOOOT _ DANG..... I am so sorry!!! Yes I did..!!! I took those pics this afternoon (for the pic above, so folks could get an idea about pics for the contest).. And totally forgot about your request (I blame it on age... My wife blames me for being too old to remember anything...? ) Carl, I'll take the stock for you and send those pics on to you privately, OK??

I am so sorry Carl!! Pictures will be coming up, OK?

As well - my great - grandfather would be thrilled you like his Parker... It's what it is all about...

John, Your great-grandfather's trap gun is amazing to me. As you know, I've handled it quite a few times and shot it at trap and five-stand too and for such a large and long-barreled gun it just seems to float in the shooter's hands as if it were a natural part of the shooter . . . truly magical - even ethereal. I might even vote for it . . .

Let's see it in color and then in sepia too.

This is just an old GH. It is of my Father and me at the "Undertaker's Shoot".
