Default Shooting Sportsman, July/August '22 Edition

On pg 40 there are small pics of what is described as a "high grade" Parker. Does anybody recognize the partial engraving pattern?

I didn't spend a lot of time studying it, but it seems wrong more than right.

However, I kind of enjoyed the trigger part of the article.

Let us know, I wondered about that engraving too.

Cancelled my subscription a couple of months ago after many years of SS and its predecessors. Oh, well.

There is no "Parker Bros" in the usual spot on the side rear and then it has unknown scroll engraving on the edges of the receiver. Never seen that before.

Can somebody post a link to that picture or post the picture itself?

Can't see enough of the grip to say but that checkered side panel is not PB work IMO. No clue on the engraving, and it is referred to as high grade eh ? We have seen high grade guns with sparse engraving previously so who knows.

The checkering on the grip looks more Remingtonesque without the concave mullering but with the convex mullering.... the cheek checkering... who knows??

Regarding the engraving, even on "high grade" Parkers with no engraving per the order, Parker Bros. would normally have been engraved on the sides between the screws... which we can't see.
