Default funny what you find on the internet

I was trying to find the print Copper John has listed to id the artist, because I think I had a copy once, since passed on

but when I searched vintage setter prints, I found this in the result mix

that's one I commissioned of my setter Wiscoy, the original painting is upstairs

yes she is Kevin

I had happened to stop at a friends' house with Old Hemlock Osthaus, Wiscoy had just recently passed

turns out Alice was also visiting the same couple, also friends of hers

she really liked the looks of Osthaus and took several pictures of him to paint from, and I sent her a number of pictures of Wiscoy

She did a great job on capturing both dogs.

this was Osthaus

Of I’m not mistaken she used to live around Ruckersville Virginia which isn’t to far from me . Of course that was 30+ years ago .

Yes she did; she donated a number of prints (mostly Labs) to our newly-formed Potomac Valley Chapter of DU over our first few years (c. early 1980s). A very kind and generous lady, and a great dog artist.
