Default Duck season over

Duck season doesn't end till tomorrow, but the weather has ended it early. They are forcasting another 12 to 24" today on top of 12" last nite. Jump shooting mallards off the ditchs has been great all week, but looks like it is over. My 16 ga trojan bad weather gun. The other is my 16 ga. Vh.

All good things must come to an end. The saddest to me is the end of the hunting seasons, even when we can count them as successful.

Kurt,
Yes that is a snow blower. It can throw snow 60 ft.

I lucked out Tuesday. There were some mallards on the ditch. They were still around after I finished cleaning driveways, 5hrs later. I had to walk through waist deep snow next to the ditch, but still was able to spook the ducks up. Two more green heads went into the freezer. Now the long wait till next year!

You really need to get new ducks - or at least ones that can't read a calendar..???

Just my $0.000000002

We've never seen as many ducks, particularly blacks and mallards, as this season which ends tomorrow with seven-year-old Lab Jake and I in the blind with the little Parker Cyl/F 16 hammer 0 frame.

We usually only see Mallards and woodies, but my partner and I got a hen and drake Black off the ditch one morning. The first Blacks I have seen around here for several years.
