Hello to all, its been a few weeks since I have posted anything so I figured I would picture you to death with 61356. After looking quite awhile for a GR2 or higher 16 gauge hammer this old gal came to me and started out as a pretty darn nice gun. It's drawback was a ruined butstock converted to a straight grip with a recoil pad.
The letter detail......Ordered by CJ Godfrey of NYC April 29, 1892 and shipped May 23, 1892, Quality G, 16 gauge, Damascus steel 28" (they are laminate), returned Sept 1896 as a trade in and then sold again Sept 7, 1897 to Schoverling, Daly & Gales of NYC.
There are multiple people involved but Chris Dawe is handling the entire project and doing so much more than the stock work. Check out the transition of this gun as it is getting close in the detailed pictures below.
What has been done so far:
Restock in progress
Engraving re-cut
Hammer screws replaced
Trigger guard repaired
Barrel prepared for refinish
20 gauge 28" reproduction barrels and second forearm added.
I pushed the wood quality up a little with a blank I bought off the internet a few years back for $150 that never found its way onto a project. It was too nice for most guns and not nice enough for a full custom.
Cheers to all you Parker enthusiasts!

Brian wanted all kinds of screwy measurements on this stick and I was like "I dunno buddy, its going to be noticeable standing still"...but now done ,I've never had a gun fit me so comfortably !... I can't wait to take it out in the bay for Turr's to test before Brian gets it
