There is a reason I shoot 12's and 20's at clays, and 16's at feathers....

Those Nobel low recoil 20ga rounds are perfect dirt shooters out of my trojan.

Okay I get it... so I shoot "dirts" and when I'm in the VT hills I shoot "buds".

And this is why I reload 2 1/2" and 2 3/4" 16g. I don't run out for hunting or clays.

When you reload the 2.5's. How do you do that and get a good crimp?

I bought a lee load all 16ga, just to give it a try. I plan to load the rst's once I empty them. The Lee is still sitting in the box so I have never started. Have some sg-16 wads, #8 shot, primers, etc. I have read, you can place a nickel under the shell when you crimp, to get a good 2.5" crimp, thought I might play around with that...
