Where can you get bismuth in BB? Thanks, Jack Kuzepski |

1 3/8 oz Nice Shot #2 kills to 70 yards for me. Sp10 was over Longshot powder.

Rick see the attachment in my post of 5/3/2012 in the thread below.
http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthr...rt+spreadsheet On page one there is a load for Nice Shot using Federal Hull and 1 3/8 ounce of Nice Shot. I think Frank Cronin has shot this load and likes it. On the third page there are some loads using Federal Hull and SR7625 with 1 1/4 ounce of Bismuth. I have used 30 grains of SR7625 and used a 6 point crimp without issue. |

I have had the BB shot for a few years now, I did buy some 3 1/2 1 3/4 oz in 12 ga and unloaded them for the shot. pete lester will jump in and tell you where it can be found. it was a long time ago when I bought it, its was when bismuth was going out of production I bought all I could, I have enough shot for waterfowl for the next 10 years , scott

Bismuth BB and other sizes are still available from Precision Reloading. I bought some #1's and shot some 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 ounce loads for snow geese. It worked good and I am sure will work well on Canada's over decoys.

you have no idea how much I have studied your chart - its in an open window right now (you have really done us short 10 newbies a service collecting all that in one place) Federals hulls are on back order every where i saw that load, and as soon as I can mug some goose hunter for his Federal hulls I intend to load that one. Almost tempted to buy a box of factory loads and a 10 bore auto and make my own empty hulls. As it is, the only 10 ga hulls I can find are Remingtons, and since Mr. Bell's data refers to the outside printing (which isn't on mew hulls) to identify the hull, I am being conservative with the loads. I guess a second part of the question should have been does any one see a performance difference between Bismuth and Nice Shot.

Rick,
Do you have any once fired RST 10 gauge shells? At the last shoot, we were talking about this subject and we strongly believe these are Federals they use. Something to look for at the SC events in the buckets.... As Mark and Pete said, short 10 with Longshot and 1 3/8 oz of Niceshot is a great load. Last edited by Frank Cronin; 08-23-2013 at 05:44 PM.. I remember that being mentioned a while back, but no, and I did not think to dumpster dive at Hausmans last June. this one is 2 5/8, so I don't want to shoot the RSTs in it to get hulls I got 50 Remington hulls trimmed down to get me going, I know nice shot raises the pressure some, so I will go low to start and wait on the federals to become available to go heavier.
