Very nice...... and if those 410 barrels ever come out you got a dandy gun to put them on.

Mikey? is that you?
Hey, nice deal. Don't forget, CSM told me the 410 barrels are a one-time production run. Toss $500 at the deposit and forget about it until next yr. I did. |

Thanks guys!
I am excited about the gun. Quail season runs to the end of the month and I hope to take some Bobs with it before season is over. Steve Barnett said he would ship it today so I should have it next week. I hope to post some pictures of the gun with some Bobs and my turdhounds on this thread in the next couple of weeks. Of course I am counting my chickens as I haven't laid hands on the gun yet. I think the Reproductions have tremendous curb appeal and I get a real bang out of that factory leather case too. Chuck I just haven't been bit by .410 bug yet but certainly enjoy your enthusiasm for the bore. I suppose it could happen before Galazan quits taking orders for them. Thanks again, Mike |

Mike, one thing about those Repros with the straight grip... keep your face mashed tightly to the wood and swing at the hips.

Mike,
I agree, the Repro's have some nice looks. I really like the idea of having a few modern guns to shoot modern loads in., especially a sxs. My 28"/28g is in the mail and should arrive next week as well. I'm just throbbing to shoot it. Unfortunately, our wild bird season is closed and I'll have to settle for some hunt farm birds and clays. |

Dean thanks for the tip. I guess the gun probably has about the same momentum as a soda straw.
The first NSTRA field trial in my region also starts the end of this month. I've noticed the dogs don't seem to mind they are farm birds. Going to Gander Mountain and picking up a couple of boxes of shells when I run low is a luxury. Sometimes I find it hard to reload enough shells between hunts. Thanks everybody. Mike |

Patern your new gun and give us a report...
My guns with the 28" barrels are choked about .014 and .033 imp mod and XX-full I have shot clays with ic/mod and the mod/full barrels sets and feel they are paterning good?, but this spring I will shoot them on Paper. I did a test by shooting each station with each set of barrels...my scores were only two birds shi with the 28" barrels compaired with the 26 inchers. If I would use the proper barrel set for the presintation at each station I bet my score would beet my 20-gauge averages. My overal scores were good....real close to my normal shooting with my 20ga. repro. I have several of the repro sets couse I can't afford or justify a nice original parker in 28 gauge. The repro's are a great value!!! wish I could find a 12ga steel shot spl or sporting clays gun with two triggers, pistal grip and beaver tail....)-: thanks all Kenny Graft SXS ohio ....(-:
