It is indeed a cock pheasant. I should have thought to take some pictures of him. (I was too busy thinking to get a picture of the Parker....) In the sunlight you can see the iridescent purples and blues along with the black. He was a very beautiful and unusual pheasant.
We also had two unusual quail in the bag. They were both almost completely rust colored. They are the two top-most quail nearest the dog. Last edited by MattHaney; 02-27-2023 at 07:48 PM.. Reason: added a thought... |
