John D,

Are you aware who Ed Good is?

He's insane.

Brian is spot on with his warning to avoid him and his guns like the plague.

I am personally aware of who Mr. Good is.

Thank you for sharing your view.

To answer your initial question about the Vickers barrels, they are heavy and poorly struck. I have a 16ga.with a 2nd set of Vickers 20ga.barrels.They change the handling qualities of the gun in a dramatic way. With the original 16ga.barrels the gun balances dead on the hinge pin. With the Vickers barrels it is front heavy to the point of being difficult to mount smoothly.

When I click on the link, it says it is no longer available, or something to that effect.

Is Ed Good the Insane still out there? I haven't followed Double Gun Shop for years due to the horde of lunatics who seem to inhabit the page.

Yes, he is still, unfortunately, "in the business".

Vickers barrels on any Parker will reduce the value by a minimum of 60%. A lot of them show up on formerly damascus guns because people were afraid to shoot damascus. I recently appraised a 12 gauge VH with Vickers barrels for $500. It had other issues as well but the barrels killed it as a restoration project. Buy original.
