Very nice Craig! A nice drake Pintail taken with a Parker is on my bucket list.

What a beautiful gun, and still doing what it was meant to do.

So, Craig, what gun(s) will you be taking to Texas for your quail hunt? I hope we get some photos...

Garry: For Texas the CSMC Fox XE 20ga with the 26" IC/LM barrels that I bought new 25+ years ago and Parker DE 12ga 26" IC/IC shooting 3/4 oz loads. Head to South Dakota Thursday, packed a M11 Remington 20ga and the CSMC XE with the set of 28" barrels.
I'm starting to wear down a bit but ya got to keep pushing, hunting season is over in a flash.

Don't forget to include us in your hunts by posting a photo or three...and make us who like short barrels proud on those Texas quail. Good luck and safe travels.

Craig:

Could you tell us what ammo you are shooting for ducks in that wonderful "A" grade.

Thanks in advance.

Boss 1 1/4 oz #5 Fiber wad which is/was their low pressure load. The Parker AH is a #2 frame with excellent wall thickness.

Another beautiful gun and a pinny to go with it. You’re my hero.
