I have a 28ga which has long since lost its CC. I do not mind at all as it is honest wear and looks quite good. It has a very nice aged patina that really brings out the engraving as seen in the first picture.
In the second picture you will see the side panels - it may not be clear in the photograph, but the panels are really shiny and don’t look anywhere near as nice as the rest of the receivers nice dull almost grayed patina.
I purchased the gun used w/quite a bit of the cc still present and it has worn to this level w/out any help other than usage followed by a typical wipe-down before putting it away. Can’t say I am a huge fan of artificial means but any ideas on how to knock the shine down in just those flat areas?
