Default C'mon Dad, let's go hunting'

Here's Notorious Black Alder taking the wheel, impatient with our not getting on the road to SE Minnesota for our early grouse expedition. Prairie Aspen is working the brake and gas pedals. He only has a learner's permit.

You can tell the pups know that it's time to hit the coverts.

Always nice to have someone to give you a break on a long drive

Good luck and more importantly enjoy your self. I started making piles of gear today even though Iwont be leaving for a few weeks.
What guns are you taking?

Harold, this is our short, “tune-up” hunt. Just a few days just across the border into Southeast Minnesota. Hopefully we’ll start to get our legs and wind before we hit the North Woods at the end of October. For this trip I’ll carry my John Dickson 28 and a GH 0-frame Parker 16. The weather is forecast to be excellent. Just to get out with the pups will be a treat for us.

I am hoping to get Sherwood out hunting a lot more this year. He was short changed a little last year.

Mills, I hope it happens. Our pups are with us for so short a time.
