Default Christmas morning in the Old Dominion

Couple pics from the tree I’m perched in , first two from 07:05 which is legal shooting time and the second two from 07:20 . Nice morning cool but not cold but a bit on the windy side .

Have a DH and my 6mm-06 out with me today . To the best of my knowledge that’s the only deer rifle I’ve got that isn’t blooded , perhaps today .

What are those lights in the first picture? Are you hunting in your backyard (a great idea, btw). We are headed out for our traditional quail hunt this morning. Quail are a lot easier to get out of the field than those ole deer.

Looks like dawn glowing on the horizon to me.

That’s actually the sun just before it reaches the horizon . Deer generally aren’t a problem anymore . I can darn near drive my Kawasaki up the side of a tree so getting thru stuff is no longer an issue .
