Default Maiden voyage

Finally got my new to me SBT out yesterday. It took me a couple stations to realize how high it shoots but managed to break 23 targets the 2nd round then 22 targets shooting a "walking" round. We started at 17 yards and moved back 2 yards after every target then changed stations after the 25 yard target and shot the first target at 25 yards on the 2nd station and moved up 2 yards every target and continued the pattern for 5 stations. First time I shot it but it was a nice change of pace. The 23 yard line seemed to be the guns sweet spot as all 5 targets at 23 yards just dissapeared.

Dan I shoot an Ithaca 4E at bunker trap and it's a blast! Even though you're allowed two shots, doing it with a SBT is nothing but giggles. Try bunker with it, you won't look back.

Andy, I’d like to try some of the other trap games. Unfortunately it’s almost 2 hours each way to shoot anything but standard trap around me. I’ve never shot anything but 16 yard trap until this week.

Next time you're at The Rock or Hausmann's I'll bring you to Binghamton. It's the only one in upstate NY. It will make regular trap (which I've only shot twice) look like child's play. It's addicting and the fastest growing game at our club. I've only ever seen three 25's shot, all by the same guy who happens to be on the USA Paralympic trap team now. Sporting clays is my favorite, but bunker is my second favorite because it's never ever easy. You can shoot a 21 one round, then a 10. Ask how I know.

Haha. I've been busy with golf and sporting clays. BTW, I cleaned it good after I shot and it looked like it had been in the back of the safe for a while. The ejectors worked okay but I took it apart to grease it good and there was a small piece of metal inside the ejector channel. The bottom of that screw was a little buggered. I think it may have come from there.

I don't have to ask how you know Andy, I already know It's a very humbling game. I can shoot bunker about an hour from the house which I have done just a few times. Some day I am going to get back in it. I recall breaking the first six targets I shot at, that's probably still my longest run truth be known

Last week I ran 11 straight. Then dropped ten straight.
