Default RST shells

RST has 28 gauge shells available on their website now, both 2 1/2” (lite) and 2 3/4” (Heavy Hunting). I recently bought a 28 Repro and am wondering if these would be good to use in the gun. Biggest use would be for chukar and hun hunting and most interested in the 2 3/4” shells. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Jim—with Parker Repto, you can use any available shell from any maker, and at a lower cost.

For wild birds, the 2 3/4" shells are best and quite acceptable in the Repro.

Falling into the FWIW, category, I went to an auction yesterday and they had 4 different batches of Remington Express 28 gauge in size 6. They sold for $25 per box and are no better then RST 28 gauge and perhaps worse. If you want the heavier RST loads for a Repro then they are actually priced quite fair and you are supporting RST.
