Triggers

I finally got a chance to look at my Parker, and discovered that neither trigger will move at all. The safety does move, the triggers are locked up. I thought maybe someone here has run into this problem. Would take it to a gunsmith if there was one here, but I am about 500 miles away from one.
I have some mechanical skills if this is an easy fix. Thanks in advance for any help.

Huh. The only thing that I can think of is maybe your safety spring is broken at the front where it engages the safety toggle. Therefore allowing the button to move, but the toggle not to move away from the trigger blades.

Not much else makes any sense to me. Unless maybe there is some internal damage to the head of the stock and some wood is causing an issue. But... if the button moves, then the toggle should move and not be blocking the triggers.

Other than that, you cannot speculate otherwise what the problem may be until the gun can be opened up and inspected/diagnosed.

Unless you have some experience in a Parker, and the right tools (screw drivers, drift pins) probably not a good idea to dive in yourself. It looks like a nice gun, and buggered screws are not easy fixes once they happen.

Rust or dried grease in the trigger blade slot of the floorplate. I don't remember whether I have experienced this in a Parker or some other make of gun, but it was an easy fix with solvent and horsepower.

Maybe it is not cocked.

If not cocked, the triggers will still move up and down with the safety off.
